IPL 2019, Match 53 – DC vs RR: Fantasy Cricket Tips – Playing XI, Pitch Report And Injury Update

The final weekend of the league stage of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) is here. The Delhi Capitals (DC) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) face-off in what is an extremely important match for both the sides. For the hosts, it is all about making it into the top two while the Royals still have an outside chance to qualify if they get to 13 points. They were unfortunate to not win a five-over shootout against RCB as rain arrived just at the wrong time but they would like to at least end their league stage with a win.

The Capitals have been dealt with a huge blow as Cricket South Africa (CSA) called back Kagiso Rabada after the latter complained of back pain. They will have to make do without him now and hope for the others to step up for the rest of the season. Ishant Sharma, if fit, can come straight back into the side in place of Chris Morris who went for plenty in the previous game.
The Royals have also lost their captain Steve Smith and Ajinkya Rahane, who was the captain at the start of the season is likely to take up the mantle yet again. Ashton Turner could be drafted in place of Smith while there is also a possibility of Krishnappa Gowtham and Manan Vohra getting a game.

Weather Conditions:

The conditions aren’t going to be easy for the players with the sun beating down hard. The temperature is likely to be in the 40s with no possibility of rain according to Accuweather. The temperature though will drop to the high 30s as the game progresses which is a little bit of relief.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The Kotla surface always manages to hog the limelight. It should play decent for both batters and bowlers while a score around 160 should be par as the ball will turn later on. The pitch always has a few cracks and with the afternoon heat, it will open up during the second innings. Teams winning the toss should opt to bat.
